Reflection:
Empathy is a transformative gift we can offer each other. It goes beyond simply hearing words; it requires us to listen with our hearts, to engage with the emotions and experiences of others. In our fast-paced world, where conversations often feel transactional, how often do we take a moment to really understand the person before us? Each exchange holds a divine opportunity—a chance to reflect Christ’s love through our genuine connection.
Think of a time when someone truly listened to you. Perhaps you were weighted down by worry or burdened by sorrow. In those moments, a heart in tune with your struggles made all the difference. Likewise, imagine the impact you can have when you open your heart to others, offering them the same grace and understanding.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of empathy, which allows us to connect deeply with one another. Help me to be present in conversations, to truly listen, and to seek to understand the hearts of those around me.
