Devotional: Stewards of Abundance – A Heart of Generosity in Wealth Distribution

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” – 1 Peter 4:10 (ESV)

In a world often characterized by scarcity, it’s easy to feel the weight of what we lack rather than what we have. Yet, as believers, we are called to view abundance through a different lens. We recognize that everything we possess — our time, talents, and treasures — are gifts bestowed upon us by a generous Creator.
God’s abundance is not merely for our own consumption; rather, it is an invitation to participate in His work of love and service. When we embrace the heart of a steward, we shift from a mindset of ownership to one of responsibility. We understand that our wealth — be it monetary or otherwise — is a tool to be used for the benefit of others.
