Devotional: Divine Moments – Cultivating Time for Personal Growth
Scripture Reading:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
Reflection:
In our fast-paced world, where distractions abound and the demands of daily life seem unending, it can be challenging to carve out time for personal growth and reflection. Yet, it is in those quiet moments—those divine moments—where we truly encounter God and gain insights into our true selves.
Consider the times when Jesus withdrew from the crowds to pray. He understood the importance of solitude and reflection. In those moments, He cultivated His relationship with the Father, gaining clarity and strength for His ministry. Similarly, we too must prioritize such moments of stillness in our lives.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to be still in Your presence. Teach us to recognize the divine moments in our everyday lives—those opportunities to grow closer to You and to discover more about ourselves. We ask for the discipline to set aside time for reflection, prayer, and rest, allowing You to work in our hearts. May we emerge from these moments refreshed and equipped for the journey ahead. Amen.
Action Step:
Find a few moments today to step away from distractions. Whether it’s a quiet room, a peaceful park, or a cozy corner in your home, create a space where you can be alone with God. Bring a journal to write your thoughts, questions, and what you sense God is whispering to you. Commit to making this a regular practice—every week, or even each day—so you can nurture your personal growth and divine connection.
Affirmation:
“I embrace the divine moments in my life, knowing they are opportunities for growth and renewed strength in my relationship with God.”
