Photographer Paul Hobson is crowned British Wildlife Photographer of the Year for his spectacular image titled “A Toad Swims Across Its Woodland Pond.” Captured from a unique angle beneath the water’s surface, Hobson’s photograph invites viewers to see the familiar through an extraordinary lens—reminding us of the inherent wonder in everyday life. Hobson reflected, “I wanted to try to capture an image looking up from the bottom of the pond,” illustrating how a fresh perspective can reveal the beauty within our surroundings.
