“30 Days Walking with Jesus” is designed to be both a journey and a companion for those looking to get started (or restarted) with their relationship with Jesus Christ.

To get the most out of this series, here are some guidelines on how to use it effectively:

Read with an Open Heart

As you read each day’s passage and accompanying reflections, keep an open heart. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your understanding and to reveal the truths of God’s Word to you. Remember, Scripture is alive and active, capable of speaking into your life in unique and personal ways.

Reflect and Journal

After reading the daily passage, spend some time reflecting on the questions or prompts provided. Consider journaling your thoughts, prayers, and any insights you receive. Writing can deepen your processing and serve as a tangible record of your spiritual journey and growth.

Pray

Prayer is a vital part of your devotional time. Use the prayer prompts to guide your conversations with God, but don’t be afraid to bring your own prayers to Him as well. This time is about developing your personal relationship with Jesus, so be honest, open, and heartfelt in your prayers. Use your own voice, your own words, in your own style… come as you are and be uniquely you.

Apply What You Learn

Each day’s devotional is designed not just to increase your knowledge but to inspire transformation and action. Look for ways to apply what you learn in your daily life. This might include sharing a insight with a friend, serving others, or practicing forgiveness and love in new ways. Don’t force it. As you grow more in your relationship, living and loving like Jesus becomes more normal.

Connect with Others

While personal reflection is crucial, faith is also meant to be lived out in community. Consider sharing your journey through this book with a friend, family member, or small group. Discussing your insights and experiences can enrich your understanding and encourage others. If you are in a situation where this is not possible, it’s ok – stay focused on your connection with God throughout your day. He will make a way and guide you through the Holy Spirit.

Be Patient and Persistent

Some days, the message may resonate deeply; other days, it might feel more challenging to connect. Be patient with yourself and persistent in your commitment. Growth often happens in the spaces between understanding, so keep pressing forward, knowing that each step brings you closer to Jesus.

Embrace the Journey

This series is more than just a daily reading; it’s an invitation to walk with Jesus and discover His profound love and purpose for your life. Allow each day’s devotion to guide you deeper into the heart of God, transforming your life from the inside out.

If someone asks you, “I’m a new Christian, how do I get started?” – share this walk with Jesus with them. If you find your own faith wavering or getting stale, revisit this walk with Jesus.

Jesus’ life – beginning to end – is a guide on “how to be human”. He faced all of the same trials and storms… and more that I pray no one ever faces. Through his sacrifices and examples, we can live a less anxious and more fulfilled life.

You are on the right path – keep going!
