In the Bible, there are seven miracles of Jesus that are recorded for us to learn from and be inspired by. Each of these miracles highlights the power and compassion of Jesus, showing us that He is truly the Son of God.
1. The healing of the nobleman’s son – In John 4:46-54, Jesus heals a nobleman’s son who was on the brink of death. This miracle reminds us that Jesus has the power to heal even the most dire situations.
2. The healing of the paralyzed man – In Mark 2:1-12, Jesus heals a paralyzed man by forgiving his sins and telling him to pick up his mat and walk. This miracle shows us that Jesus has the authority to forgive sins and restore our bodies.
3. The feeding of the 5,000 – In Matthew 14:13-21, Jesus feeds a crowd of 5,000 people with just five loaves and two fish. This miracle demonstrates Jesus’ compassion for the hungry and his ability to provide more than enough for those in need.
4. Walking on water – In Matthew 14:22-33, Jesus walks on water to rescue his disciples who were caught in a storm. This miracle shows us that Jesus has power over the elements and can calm the storms in our lives.
5. Healing of the blind man – In John 9:1-12, Jesus heals a man who was blind from birth. This miracle reminds us that Jesus has the power to bring light into our darkness and give us spiritual sight.
6. Raising Lazarus from the dead – In John 11:1-44, Jesus raises his friend Lazarus from the dead after he had been in the tomb for four days. This miracle shows us that Jesus has power over death and gives us hope in the resurrection.
7. The resurrection of Jesus – In Matthew 28:1-10, Jesus rises from the dead on the third day, conquering sin and death once and for all. This miracle is the ultimate display of Jesus’ power and love for us, giving us the assurance of eternal life.
