Devotional: Serving with Grace: Embracing the Heart of a Servant
Scripture Reading: Philippians 2:5-7 (NIV)
“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant…”
Reflection:
In a world that often prioritizes power, recognition, and self-interest, Jesus Christ presents a radical model of service. He takes the position of a servant, demonstrating that true greatness lies in humility and the willingness to serve others. When we adopt this mindset, we align ourselves with Christ’s heart and mission.
Serving with grace means offering our time, talents, and resources without expecting anything in return. It’s about finding joy in making someone else’s life better and reflecting God’s love through our actions. Each act of kindness, no matter how small, becomes a testament to grace—the unmerited favor we’ve received and are called to share.
