Devotional: Grace Under Fire – Finding Divine Guidance in Decision-Making
Scripture Reflection:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Meditation:
Life is filled with decisions—big and small—that can often feel overwhelming. In moments of uncertainty, it can be easy to rely on our own understanding and instincts. However, the call of faith is to surrender these decisions to God and seek His guidance. Grace under fire becomes our reality when we choose to trust God amidst the pressures and challenges we face.
Imagine a soldier in the heat of battle, relying on their training and instincts while seeking to follow the command of their leader. Similarly, in our daily lives, we encounter ‘fires’—moments of trial, pressure, and decision. God is our ultimate commander, guiding us through the thick of it, offering not just wisdom but divine grace.
Grace is the unmerited favor of God, an empowering presence that enables us to follow His ways. Diving into decision-making with this grace allows us to find peace and clarity. Sometimes this may mean stepping away from our fears and doubts, recognizing that we don’t have to shoulder the weight of our decisions alone.

Prayer:
