Meditation Devotional: Heart and Command
Meditating on the Ten Commandments for Spiritual Renewal
Opening Thought
As we embark on this time of reflection and meditation, let us center ourselves in the love and wisdom that emanates from the heart of God. The Ten Commandments, far from being mere rules, offer us a pathway to deeper connection, love, and spiritual renewal. They are an invitation to align our hearts with divine purpose and community, nurturing both our relationship with the Creator and with one another.
Moment of Stillness
Find a comfortable position. Close your eyes gently, and take a deep breath in through your nose, allowing your abdomen to expand. Hold it for a moment, then exhale through your mouth, letting go of any tension or distractions. Continue this pattern of breathing, allowing each inhalation to fill you with peace and each exhalation to release anxiety.
Affirmation
As we dive into each Commandment, let us hold this affirmation in our hearts:
“I am open to receive wisdom and renewal through the commands of love.”
