A New York tourist’s dream trip took a devastating turn early Sunday morning when 25-year-old Kevin Mares was fatally shot while visiting Puerto Rico for Bad Bunny’s highly anticipated concert residency. Mares was reportedly an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire during an altercation among several individuals at a local nightspot, “Shelter for Mistreated Men.” According to homicide detective Sgt. Arnaldo Ruiz, Mares was shot in the abdomen and rushed to Puerto Rico’s largest public hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Two other locals were wounded in the incident and are currently hospitalized.
