West Haven Revolutionizes Internet Access with New Fiber Network
WEST HAVEN — Residents and businesses in West Haven can now enjoy ultra-high-speed broadband internet, thanks to the completion of a cutting-edge open-access fiber network. This significant development marks a crucial step toward enhancing community connectivity and fostering economic growth.
Earlier this month, UTOPIA Fiber announced the successful completion of a $17.6 million project that brings high-speed internet to virtually every residential and commercial address in the area. Construction began about a year later, in June 2023, and in just a few months, the entire project was brought to fruition, connecting over 6,600 addresses.
