Buffalo, NY – A prolonged internet outage has left Buffalo Women Services grappling with significant disruptions to patient care, shedding light on the essential role that reliable communication plays in healthcare. Dr. Katharine Morrison, the Obstetrician-Gynecologist leading the clinic, expressed her deep concern regarding the outage, stating, "My main concern was that we weren’t going to hear from either a patient or hospital or an emergency room that needed to speak with us." In a bid to mitigate the situation, Morrison reached out to alternative internet providers, only to be stalled by the holiday weekend. “The service was much less expensive than what we’re paying for Rooftop, so that was also interesting," she remarked.
