Tennis Community Rallies for Svajda Family: Exhibition Match to Support Tom Svajda’s Cancer Battle
Fundraiser Scheduled for December 7 in San Diego

An exhibition event featuring tennis stars James Blake and Brandon Nakashima, along with Tom’s sons, Trevor and Zachary Svajda, promises to raise funds for Tom’s medical expenses and shed light on the importance of community support in challenging times.
The exhibition will take place at the Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club in San Diego on December 7. Zach, currently ranked No. 102 in the PIF ATP Rankings, will team up with his brother Trevor, a standout at Southern Methodist University, to face off against Blake and Nakashima in an exciting doubles match. “My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and our journey through his treatment has been incredibly challenging,” Zach shared, emphasizing the emotional weight this event carries for their family. “Supporting him through this has been one of the most difficult yet meaningful experiences of my life.” Trevor added, “The commitment of everyone attending to show their love and support truly means everything to us.”

Nakashima echoed this sentiment, expressing his long-standing friendship with Zachary. “It is so fulfilling to use my platform to lift up their spirits during this very difficult time,” he remarked.
