Stirling engines, known for their high efficiency, operate by converting heat energy into mechanical work through the expansion and contraction of gases. Yet, without sufficient real-world data from lunar conditions, predicting their performance remains a complex challenge.

To mitigate these challenges, the research team employed simplified analysis methods that take into account various factors such as energy loss and flow resistance. The refinement of their predictive model offers deeper insights into how design parameters affect engine efficiency, presenting a potential pathway to practical and sustainable power solutions for future lunar and Martian habitats.
