Beyond diet, smoking remains a significant risk factor. Current smokers experience a two- to four-fold increased risk of strokes compared to non-smokers. Similarly, consistent sleep deprivation contributes to heightened stroke probabilities, with research indicating a correlation between insufficient sleep and increased risks of ischemic strokes.

Regular health screenings play a critical role in catching health issues early, allowing for timely interventions that can drastically reduce the likelihood of severe health outcomes.
