Record Number of Consumers Sign Up for Affordable Health Coverage Amid Continued Enrollment Opportunities
The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a remarkable milestone on January 8, revealing that nearly 24 million consumers have selected health coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace for the upcoming plan year. In a press release, CMS reported that approximately 23.6 million people have chosen 2025 Marketplace coverage since the start of the open enrollment period, including about 3.2 million new consumers.
