Local Community Invited to Contribute to 39th Annual Friends of Legal Services Book Sale
The upcoming Friends of Legal Services book sale presents an opportunity for individuals in the Chambersburg area to not only declutter their homes but also support a worthy cause. The first of two book drop-off days is set for Saturday, February 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the MobileWorks building located at 2116 Lincoln Way East.
This event encourages donations of new and used books in good condition, as well as CDs, DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games. Sue DeVos, president of the Friends of Legal Services, expressed enthusiasm in a press release, saying, “We would love to receive your book donations.” The community’s support will help bolster the resources available to those in need through legal services.
However, prospective donors should note that encyclopedias, textbooks, and phonograph records will not be accepted. A second book drop-off day is also planned for March 15, at the same location and time. In addition to these drop-off days, donation boxes will be placed at various locations around the area for two weeks in April, expanding the chances for community engagement.
Mark your calendars! The grand book sale is scheduled from Friday, May 30, through Sunday, June 1, at Laird Hall on the Wilson College campus.
