Salina, KS — Marshall Zuccarelli, an inspiring young entrepreneur, recently claimed first place at the 4th Annual Charlie Walker Pitch Challenge, securing a $6,000 prize for his start-up, M1 Pool Maintenance. The event, hosted by the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, serves as a launchpad for aspiring business owners in the community.
Scheduled for April 1, 2026, the upcoming 5th Annual Pitch Challenge invites applications from start-ups and young businesses operating for three years or less. This year’s event offers a total of $6,000 in cash prizes, mirroring the success of the previous year, where $16,000 was awarded across five top competitors.
“Participating in the Charlie Walker Pitch Challenge was an unforgettable experience,” stated Zuccarelli. “I moved from a Business Essentials course at Salina Central High School to winning this competition in only eight months, revealing the wealth of support available in our community for aspiring entrepreneurs. The Pitch Challenge encourages contestants to submit a business plan and a brief video introduction by March 16, 2026.
