OnlyFans Enters Business Education Arena with Lingerie Designer Rachael McCrary

In a surprising pivot, OnlyFans, the platform known predominantly for adult content, is branching out into business education by launching classes aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs. Rachael McCrary, a seasoned lingerie designer and the founder of Spice Rack, will lead this initiative, offering content that addresses topics such as pitching to investors and brand building.

Beginning this Wednesday, McCrary’s series of four videos will stand in stark contrast to the usual fare on OnlyFans. “As we’ve seen in other genres like comedy and sport, it takes just one creator to recognize the opportunity and others will follow suit,” stated OnlyFans CEO Keily Blair, highlighting the platform’s vision of fostering a diverse creator economy.

The collaboration between McCrary and OnlyFans birthed during their meeting at the tech conference Summit Baja last November matures into a unique offering that combines empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community building. “OnlyFans is a community of over 4 million creator businesses, so it makes perfect sense to share tips on entrepreneurship,” Blair noted.

McCrary’s journey to entrepreneurship has not been without its challenges. As a former member of the alt photography community SuicideGirls, McCrary faced stigmas when seeking acceptance in traditional fashion circles. “Pitching underwear to tech VCs, I already felt like I had to prove myself more,” she recounted, exemplifying the trials many women entrepreneurs face in gaining credibility.

The statistics are stark: female-led companies secured just 1% of venture capital funding in 2024, according to Inc. Nevertheless, McCrary has persevered, leveraging her unique experiences to empower others. “Being naked on the internet and raising venture capital from the largest funds in the world is a very rare Venn diagram,” she remarked, indicating the challenges women entrepreneurs navigate.

Reflecting a broader theme of redemption and opportunity, McCrary’s classes aim to provide guidance and support to those looking to pivot from adult content or explore new ventures. “Over the years, I’ve been approached by many young women seeking advice on how to start their own businesses,” she said, emphasizing the importance of community and mentorship.

This initiative resonates deeply with biblical principles surrounding work and community. The story of the Good Samaritan reminds us of the importance of caring for and uplifting those around us. Just as this Samaritan saw a need and acted, McCrary’s efforts symbolize a commitment to imparting knowledge and helping others flourish in their entrepreneurial journeys.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men” (Colossians 3:23, ESV). This verse encourages us to approach our work with dedication and integrity, a principle McCrary embodies as she uses her platform to guide others.

As we reflect on this novel approach from OnlyFans, let us consider how we can contribute to building communities that uplift others, offering our skills and experiences in service of those around us. How might you use your talents to empower someone in your community? The lesson here is clear: opportunity often arises in the most unexpected places, inviting us to step forward in faith.
