Arup’s journey began with a pivotal decision in 2010 to leave his commerce studies after just one year. He immersed himself in the local flower market, absorbing every nuance of the trade. By 2011, he found himself working in Hyderabad’s bustling Gudimalkapur Flower Market, where the seeds of ambition were firmly planted.

The Big Leap
His entrepreneurial journey truly took flight in late 2011 with the lease of a modest two-bigha plot for marigold farming. Initially met with setbacks due to poor-quality blooms, Arup didn’t give up. Instead, he ventured to Thailand to study high-quality marigold varieties, embracing continuous learning—another crucial principle echoed in Proverbs 1:5: “Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.”

Today, Arup’s farm spans 73 bighas (approximately 29.2 acres) and employs around 80 workers. In 2024, he sold an impressive four crore saplings along with 1,500 kg of marigold seeds, generating a significant annual revenue of between Rs 6.35 crore and Rs 7.35 crore.
