Miami Book Club Celebrates 125 Years of Community and Literary Legacy
Trenton, OH – Celebrating a remarkable milestone, the Miami Book Club has reached its 125th anniversary, a testament to its enduring commitment to literacy, friendship, and community. "We are 125 years old," announced Wilma Zeigler, the current president of the club, during a recent gala held at Trenton Mennonite Church. The mayor of Trenton, Ryan Perry, honored the club’s legacy with a special proclamation, acknowledging its role in promoting literature and fostering connections among community members.
The gathering included longstanding members and honored guests, such as Beth Crout, a 99-year-old retired teacher who has been part of the club since 1989. “I consider them all very close friends,” Zeigler shared, illustrating how the club has been a sanctuary through life’s highs and lows.
