In 1 Corinthians 13:4, we are reminded of the characteristics of godly love. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
Godly love is a selfless and sacrificial love that puts others before ourselves. It is patient in times of trial and kind in times of trouble. It does not seek to elevate itself above others or to bring attention to its own achievements. Instead, it humbly serves and uplifts those around it.
As we strive to experience and exhibit this godly love in our lives, we begin to reflect the love of God to those around us. We become a beacon of light in a world filled with darkness, showing others what it means to truly love as Christ loves us.
May we strive to embody the characteristics of godly love described in 1 Corinthians 13:4, so that we may bring honor and glory to God in all that we do.
