Devotional about Wisdom
Wisdom: A Biblical Principle
Seeking Godly Wisdom
Wisdom is a precious gift from God, and when we seek it with all our hearts, we gain discernment and understanding in our lives.
As we study the Word of God, we can gain wisdom and understanding of His ways. Proverbs 3:13 says, “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding.”
- Read and meditate on the book of Proverbs to gain insight and wisdom
- Pray for God to grant you wisdom in your decision-making
- Seek advice from godly mentors and friends
Applying Wisdom
Once we have gained wisdom, it is important to apply it in our daily lives. Proverbs 3:7-8 reminds us to not be wise in our own eyes but to fear the Lord and shun evil, and it will bring health to our bodies and nourishment to our bones.
- Make decisions based on God’s principles and not our own understanding
- Seek counsel from wise individuals in matters of importance
- Be intentional in living out God’s wisdom in our interactions with others
Trusting God’s Wisdom
Finally, as we walk in wisdom, we must trust that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His wisdom surpasses our own. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, acknowledging Him in all our ways.
God’s wisdom brings peace and assurance in our hearts as we lean on Him for guidance.
