Do What You Love: A Devotional on Biblical Principles

Find Joy in Your Passions

As Christians, we are called to find joy in whatever we do. When we follow our passions and do what we love, we are fulfilling God’s plan for us. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” So go ahead and pursue your passions with all your heart!

Use Your Gifts for His Glory

Each of us has been given unique gifts and talents by God. When we use these gifts to do what we love, we are bringing glory to Him. Romans 12:6-8 reminds us, “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” Embrace your gifts and use them to serve Him!

Trust in His Plan for Your Life

God has a perfect plan for each of us, and He wants us to find joy in doing what we love. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Trust in His plan and know that He has great things in store for you as you pursue your passions.
