Ask with Boldness

As children of God, we are called to ask for what we need with boldness and confidence. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus encourages us to ask, seek, and knock, assuring us that we will receive, find, and have doors opened for us. This boldness in asking comes from knowing that our loving Father wants to give good gifts to his children.

Believe and Receive

When we ask boldly, we are called to believe that we will receive what we ask for. In Mark 11:24, Jesus tells us, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Our faith in God’s willingness and ability to answer our prayers is essential as we ask boldly.

Persistence in Prayer

As we ask boldly and believe, we are also called to persist in prayer. In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus tells the parable of the persistent widow, teaching us to always pray and not give up.
