Self-confidence and Self-esteem

Believing in Your Worth

As children of God, we are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. Our self-worth and confidence come from knowing that we are deeply loved and valued by our Creator.

1. We can find assurance in Psalm 139:14, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

2. God calls us His masterpiece in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Overcoming Doubt and Insecurity

It’s natural to sometimes feel doubts and insecurity about ourselves, but we can find strength in God’s promises and His unfailing love for us.

1. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

2. We are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us.

Walking in Confidence

Our faith in God gives us the confidence to face any challenges that come our way. With Him, we can stand firm and secure in our identity as His beloved children.

1. Philippians 4:13 declares, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

2. We are encouraged in Hebrews 10:35, “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.”
