Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a heart filled with awe and gratitude, as I meditate on the words of Revelation 21:1-5. Your Word declares that one day there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and the former things will pass away. Oh, how my heart longs for that glorious day!
Lord, as I contemplate the beauty and majesty of the new creation, I am overwhelmed by Your boundless love and faithfulness. You have promised to wipe away every tear from our eyes, to eradicate pain, sorrow, and death. You are the God of restoration and renewal, the One who makes all things new.
In this broken world, where sin and suffering seem to prevail, I find solace and hope in Your promise of a future where righteousness dwells. I cling to the assurance that You will undo all the effects of sin and bring forth a world full of joy, peace, and eternal fellowship with You.
Father, I pray that You will deepen my longing for this coming reality. Help me to fix my eyes on the things that are above, to live with an eternal perspective. Teach me to let go of the things of this world that hinder my relationship with You, and to set my heart on the imperishable treasures that await me in the new heaven and earth.
Lord, in the midst of my earthly journey, help me not to lose sight of the transformative power of Your presence. As You promised to dwell with Your people, I yearn for a deeper encounter with You even now. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, that I may experience glimpses of the eternal glory and be transformed into the image of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
