Prayer related to theme of 1 Samuel 16:7
Dear Lord,
I come before you with a humble heart, seeking your guidance and wisdom. I know that you look at the heart, and not the outward appearance. Help me to focus on cultivating a pure and genuine heart that is pleasing to you. Let me not be swayed by the opinions and standards of the world, but instead, let my heart be aligned with your will.
I pray that you will search my heart and reveal anything that is not pleasing to you. Help me to surrender those things to you and to seek your forgiveness and cleansing. May my thoughts, actions, and motives be pure and honorable in your sight.
I also ask for your help in seeing others through your eyes. Let me not judge them based on their outward appearance, but instead, help me to see them as you see them – with love, grace, and compassion. Help me to treat others with kindness and understanding, just as you do for me.
Thank you, Lord, for your constant love and mercy. I pray that you will continue to shape my heart to be more like yours each and every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
