Prayer related to theme of Luke 6:38

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before You, thanking You for Your infinite mercy and boundless love. I pray, Father, as guided by Luke 6:38, that I may adopt a generous heart in my daily interactions with those around me. Help me, Lord, to understand that the measure I give is the measure I receive. Free me from the chains of greed, selfishness, and bitterness, and lead me along the path of true generosity.

Teach me, Father, to always be ready to give, for it is in giving that Your word says I will receive. May my offerings not only be limited to material gifts, but extend to my time, kind words, love, and understanding, recognizing that these too are precious gifts in Your sight.

Lord, let my heart be ever ready to forgive, for by such acts of mercy, Your word assures me that I will receive mercy in return. Teach me to be patient, to treat others with kindness and to release all judgments.

In moments of scarcity, remind me, Lord, that whatever I give for Your glory surely will be returned to me – shaken, pressed down, overflowing, and running over – for Your supply is endless, Your bounty infinite. You are the God who multiplies, making little into plenty and enough into more.

Dear Lord, as I strive to be a giver in a world that often encourages taking, grant me the wisdom and courage to always choose generosity. Guard my heart against fear, that I may givingly step out in faith, secure in the knowledge that You will replenish what I give, abundantly and without measure.

I trust in Your word, Lord, and in Your promises. For it’s You who guides me, provides for me, and blesses me beyond measure. Loving Father, help me to walk with a heart full of love, hands ready to give, and a spirit filled with Your grace.

I pray all of this in Your precious and Holy name.

Amen.
