Prayer related to theme of John 15:5

Dear Lord,

I come before you today, humbled by the reminder in John 15:5 that apart from you, I can do nothing. Help me to abide in you, to remain connected to you in every aspect of my life. I recognize that on my own, I am weak and powerless, but with you, I am strong and capable.

I ask for your guidance and strength, that I may bear fruit and bring glory to your name. Help me to rely on your wisdom and grace, rather than trying to accomplish things in my own strength. As I lean on you, I trust that you will empower me to do the work you have called me to do.

I pray for a deeper understanding of what it means to abide in you, and a greater willingness to surrender my will to yours. May my life be a testimony to the truth of your word, and may others see the light of your love shining through me.

Thank you for the privilege of being in relationship with you, and for the promise that when I remain in you, I will bear much fruit. I place my trust in you, knowing that with you, all things are possible.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
