Meditation Devotional: Seeking Wisdom in Decision Making

Opening Reflection

As we begin this time of meditation, let us center ourselves in the present moment. Find a comfortable position, close your eyes gently, and take a deep breath in. Inhale deeply, allowing your lungs to fill, and then exhale slowly, releasing any tension you may be holding onto. With each breath, feel yourself becoming more grounded and centered, ready to connect with the wisdom within you.

Now, as you continue to breathe deeply, reflect on the importance of seeking wisdom in our daily decisions. We are all faced with choices, big and small, and sometimes, the weight of these decisions can feel burdensome. But remember, you are not alone in this process.

Imagine yourself standing at a crossroads, with various paths stretching out before you. Each path represents a different choice, a different possibility. As you stand there, take a moment to acknowledge the power of your choices. You have the ability to shape your future through the decisions you make today.

With your next breath, visualize a warm, golden light surrounding you. This light represents divine wisdom, guidance, and clarity. As you inhale, imagine this light illuminating your mind and heart. With each exhale, release any doubts or fears that may cloud your judgment. Allow yourself to be enveloped in this nurturing energy, knowing that wisdom is your birthright.

Ask yourself: “What is it that I truly seek in this decision?” Allow your heart to guide you toward clarity. As thoughts arise, observe them without judgment. Embrace the understanding that you do not have to have all the answers right now. Sometimes, the journey toward understanding is as important as the destination.

With each breath, remind yourself: It’s okay to seek help. It’s okay to ask for guidance. It’s okay to take a step back and evaluate the paths before you. You are surrounded by support—whether it be friends, family, or a deeper spiritual connection. Trust that wisdom is available to you when you seek it with an open heart.

Affirmation

Say to yourself softly, “I am open to wisdom. I trust the guidance that comes my way. I am capable of making wise and thoughtful decisions.” Feel these words resonate within you, imbue them with your intention.
