In the opening chapters of the Bible, the genealogical record in Genesis reminds us not only of God’s creation but also of human legacy. Adam’s descendants, listed in Genesis 5, represent a rich tapestry of human experience, faith, and divine purpose. While the names might seem distant and sometimes difficult to pronounce, each name tells a story of faith handed down through generations.
Among these descendants is Enoch, noted for his close walk with God. His life offers us a powerful lesson: that our relationship with God can profoundly affect how our legacy will be remembered (Genesis 5:24). Similarly, we find Noah, who emerges as a beacon of righteousness in a world steeped in corruption.
