iHeartMedia Shifts Over 85 Stations to All-Christmas Music, Embracing a Season of Joy and Reflection

In a festive move that underscores the spirit of the season, iHeartMedia has officially transitioned more than 85 radio stations across the nation to all-Christmas music programming. This annual tradition brings holiday cheer to countless listeners, inviting them to revel in beloved Christmas classics.

Notably, “106.7 Lite-FM” in New York remains the primary exception, maintaining its usual format for now. However, the highly anticipated resumption of Christmas broadcasts includes the return of Rhythmic AC “Movin 107.7” WMOV-FM from Norfolk, VA, which did not participate in the all-Christmas lineup last year.

Among the exciting developments this year is iHeartMedia’s introduction of its first all-Spanish Christmas station at “Mega 97.1” in Orlando, FL. This expansion not only reflects the diversity of the holiday season but also highlights the unifying power of music in celebrating cherished traditions and cultural heritage.

The upcoming “iHeartRadio Holiday Special,” hosted by Mario Lopez and scheduled to air on November 27 at 7 PM, promises a heartwarming addition to the holiday music experience. Featuring conversations with artists like Dan + Shay, Jennifer Hudson, and Kelly Clarkson, the special enables audiences to connect with their favorite musicians as they share personal holiday memories and songs that resonate with their own experiences.

iHeartMedia Chief Programming Officer Tom Poleman eloquently captured the essence of this season by stating, "Listeners around the country have really come to rely on our stations to kick off the season, these songs ignite their spirits and evoke memories.” Their joy reflects the deeper biblical principle of celebrating the birth of hope and love during this time of year. As Philippians 4:4 reminds us, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.”

While music fills the airwaves, it also stirs the hearts, encouraging listeners to reflect on the importance of community, love, and gratitude—principles steeped in the teachings of Jesus. The act of coming together through shared songs encapsulates a collective yearning for joy, peace, and a sense of belonging.

As you tune in to these stations and enjoy the holiday spirit, consider this: how does your personal celebration of the season encourage those around you? Let this time of year be not only about music but also about fostering connections and uplifting spirits, mirroring the love that was so beautifully exemplified during Christ’s life.

In this joyful season, may you find inspiration in music, community, and faith—a perfect reminder that the Christmas spirit thrives best when shared.
