Dear Heavenly Father,
As I come before you today, I am reminded of the words spoken by your Son, Jesus, in Mark 10:45. He said, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Lord, these words remind me of the selflessness and humility that Jesus displayed in his life and ultimately on the cross. They challenge me to examine my own heart and how I am living out your call to serve others.
I confess that there are times when I am more focused on being served than serving others. I ask for your forgiveness and for a renewed heart that desires to follow in the example of Jesus. Help me to have the same attitude of humility and selflessness as he did.
