Devotional about Courage

Courage Devotional

Be Strong and Courageous

Biblical Principles

Throughout the Bible, we are encouraged to be strong and courageous. In Joshua 1:9, it says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” This verse reminds us that courage comes from trusting in God and believing in His presence with us.

David also displayed great courage when he faced Goliath in 1 Samuel 17. Despite the giant’s intimidating size and strength, David trusted in the Lord and was able to defeat Goliath with a single stone and a slingshot. This story teaches us that with God on our side, we can conquer even the most daunting challenges.

Devotional Content

Courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision to press forward in the face of it. When we trust in God and His promises, we can find the strength to overcome any obstacle. Just as He was with Joshua and David, God is also with us, equipping us with the courage we need to face whatever comes our way.

It takes courage to step out in faith, to take risks, and to stand up for what is right. We can draw courage from the knowledge that God goes before us and that He is our ultimate source of strength. We are never alone in our battles, and we can take heart in knowing that He has already secured the victory for us.
