Your Treasure in Heaven
Have you ever stumbled upon an old, forgotten box in your attic or garage, only to discover treasures that spark fond memories? In many ways, our life’s journey is similar to finding treasures—some tangible, some spiritual. But have you ever paused to wonder where you are storing the treasures that truly matter?
What are You Storing and Where?
It’s easy to become preoccupied with the accumulation of worldly possessions. Our society often equates wealth and material success with happiness. But the Bible offers us a different perspective. In Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus teaches, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
This passage invites us to examine the treasures we’re accumulating. Are they just earthly possessions, or do they hold eternal value?
