Strength in the Bible

The Source of Strength

As Christians, we find our strength in the Lord. Psalm 28:7 reminds us that “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.” When we feel weak, it is important to remember that our strength comes from God alone.

Strength in Weakness

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 tells us, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Our weaknesses can be a gateway for God’s strength to shine through.

Strength for Endurance

Hebrews 12:1 encourages us to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” As we face trials and challenges, we can rely on the strength of the Lord to carry us through, to endure and to remain steadfast in our faith.
