The Body as a Temple

Our bodies are a gift from God, and it is our responsibility to take care of them. Just as we maintain the cleanliness and functionality of a physical temple, we should also prioritize the health and wellness of our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

God’s Word provides wisdom for living a healthy and balanced life. Scripture encourages us to nourish our bodies with good food, to exercise self-control, and to prioritize rest and rejuvenation. Proverbs 3:7-8 reminds us to not be wise in our own eyes but to fear the Lord and shun evil, which will bring health to our body and nourishment to our bones.
