U2 Releases \u201cEaster Lily\u201d EP: A Journey from Activism to Personal Reflection<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a remarkable nod to both their past and present, U2 has rolled out their second EP of 2026, Easter Lily<\/strong>. This six-track collection follows last month’s Days of Ash<\/strong>, which honored activists who lost their lives, including Palestinian consultant Awdah Hathaleen. In contrast, Easter Lily<\/strong> invites listeners into a more personal realm, exploring themes of love, friendship, and faith amidst life\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n

The EP begins with \u201cSong for Hal,\u201d a poignant tribute to the late Hal Willner, a dear friend and producer who passed away due to COVID-19 complications in 2020. Bono mentioned that the title pays homage to Patti Smith’s<\/strong> 1978 album Easter<\/em>, which offered him hope during his youth. Such reflections are reminiscent of the biblical premise that encourages believers to uplift and remember those who have impacted their lives. As Proverbs 27:17 states, \u201cIron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.\u201d <\/p>\n
