Initially, in early February, the group sent an urgent request for $100,000, linked to the impending review of their ballot measure by the state\u2019s Title Board. After extending their deadline and increasing their goal, they were left with a sobering reminder of the uphill battle they face.<\/p>\n

As they look toward gathering necessary signatures by the August 27 deadline, challenges abound. The first report disclosed that of the $11,311 spent, more than $10,000 went to Patrick Davis Consulting, run by the group\u2019s leader, Patrick Davis.
