Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:26-28 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThen God said, \u2018Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.\u2019 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, \u2018Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Reflection:<\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

In the beginning, God created the world and everything in it, placing humankind at the heart of His creation. We are reminded that being made in God\u2019s image comes with a divine responsibility. As stewards of the earth, we are called to care for all creation, to embody the compassion of Christ through our actions. <\/p>\n

Caring hands<\/strong> symbolize our active role in stewardship. Our hands are instruments of service, designed to mend what is broken, provide for those in need, and tend to the earth. Is there a neighbor, a family member, or a part of God’s creation that needs our attentive care today? Let us not be passive observers but engaged participants in nurturing the world around us.<\/p>\n

Compassionate hearts<\/strong> resonate with God\u2019s love for His creation. Compassion calls us to feel deeply for others\u2014human and non-human alike\u2014and to act out of love rather than obligation.
