Have you ever found yourself caught in the web of incessant thoughts, either trapped in the past or preoccupied with the future? Perhaps, like many, you’re often so focused on what’s ahead or what has been that you miss out on what is right before you. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Several years ago, a dear friend taught me a lesson about the power of living in the present. Over a simple cup of coffee, she said, \u201cNotice the warmth of the mug in your hands, the aroma of the coffee, the way the sunlight filters through the window.\u201d What she was pointing out was mindfulness\u2014a tangible, graspable awareness of the now.<\/p>\n

God calls us to be present, to live intentionally in each moment He gives us. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In Matthew 6:34 (NIV), Jesus instructs, \u201cTherefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.\u201d This verse invites us to shift our focus away from anxieties about the future and instead center ourselves in today’s richness.<\/p>\n
