My mother, a deeply religious woman, would always point me to Joshua 1:9: \u201cHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.\u201d This verse became my mantra, filling me with the courage to tackle whatever came my way.<\/p>\n
