Ruth’s words to Naomi in Ruth 1:16 are profound expressions of devotion, loyalty, and selfless commitment, despite dire circumstances. Naomi, her mother-in-law, was returning to Judah from Moab following the death of her husband and two sons. Filled with grief, Naomi urged her daughters-in-law to return to their birth families where they might find comfort and remarry.<\/p>\n
