In this passage, Jesus, fully aware of the suffering He is about to endure, retreats to the Garden of Gethsemane with His disciples. He asks them to stay awake while He prays. Three times, He prays to God, expressing His anguish and seeking strength. Each time, He returns to find the disciples asleep. This moment highlights not only Jesus’ humanity, as He grapples with fear and sorrow, but also His unwavering faith and obedience to God’s will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
