Prayer related to theme of Matthew 6:19-21
Dear Lord,
I come before you with a heart filled with gratitude for your love and provision in my life. As I reflect on your word in Matthew 6:19-21, I am reminded that the treasures of this world are fleeting and temporary. Help me to not store up treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
Instead, Lord, I pray that you would help me to store up treasures in heaven, where they are safe and eternal. Please guide me to prioritize the things that are important to you – loving others, serving with humility, and seeking your kingdom above all else.
May my heart be set on things above, and may my life be a reflection of your goodness and grace. Help me to use the gifts and talents you’ve given me to bring glory to your name and to further your kingdom on earth.
I commit my treasures and my heart to you, Lord. Please help me to always remember that where my treasure is, there my heart will be also.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.
