Common Questions About New Testament Bible Trivia

What does this New Testament quiz actually cover?
Everything from Matthew to Revelation. The four Gospels are the biggest slice — Jesus’ parables, His conversations, the people He met on the road — but the round also pulls from the book of Acts as the early church spreads out of Jerusalem, from the letters Paul and others wrote to young churches, and from Revelation. That means you’ll see familiar names like Peter, Paul, and Thomas alongside people who get less airtime: Lydia the fabric merchant, Cornelius the Roman officer, Matthias who was chosen by lot, and Lois, the grandmother Paul singled out by name.

Is this New Testament trivia hard?
It’s a fair mix, and it’s deliberately not the same twelve questions every other Bible quiz online recycles. Some are the kind most people would get without much thought — where Jesus grew up, which Gospel opens with “In the beginning was the Word.” Others ask for a specific detail: which island Paul was shipwrecked on, what the good Samaritan poured into the wounds, which church heads the list of seven in Revelation. Every question shows a one-line explanation and the exact chapter and verse afterward, whether you got it right or not, so a wrong answer is still worth something.

How many questions are there, and does it change when I replay?
Each round is 12 questions drawn at random from a bank of 36, and the four answer options are shuffled every single time too. So replaying doesn’t mean memorising an answer order — you’ll get a genuinely different round, and it takes at least three playthroughs before you’ve seen the whole bank. It runs about four minutes. There’s no account, no login, and nothing is saved anywhere, so your score lives only in that browser tab.

What’s the difference between the New Testament and the Old Testament?
The Old Testament covers everything before Jesus — creation, Abraham’s family, the Exodus out of Egypt, Israel’s kings and prophets. The New Testament picks up with Jesus’ birth and runs through the first generation of the church that followed Him: 27 books, written across roughly the first century. That’s why a New Testament quiz feels different from a general Bible quiz. The cast is smaller and tighter, the timeframe is a few decades rather than a few thousand years, and nearly every story circles back to one person.
